Today I had my high school final badminton tournament. I say final because this is the real deal and once you win this, you move on to the next round and so on.
I must say, it is quite intense. I mean who doesn't want first place? Even so, most players are friendly to each other and respectable too. Which I like.
Except in one game previous to mine. As I was watching, it really started to piss me off! These two girls in the singles pool were duking it out, and had difficulty calling in and outs.
Once you play someone that has no freaking idea whether the birdie was in or out, you know you got a real tough and annoying competitor on the other side, or someone completely mental. I mean, if you saw that birdie drop, you know where it dropped, so cut the crap of 'mmmmmmm well.... I think it's out??????'.
This is exactly what was occurring for both these girls! Both were pulling the iffy calls 'ummmm maybe??? I think it's my point???'. Seriously, you just call it as it is.
It was inevitable they would slowly become angrier and angrier at each other for making the worst possible calls. So angry and so intense they got a freaking line judge to come and call the shots. Are you freaking kidding me?!?! Where's the sportsmanship, honesty and trust at now huh? I thought this was absolutely ridiculous.
Idiots.
Anyways, I'm not saying to piss off if you're intense at badminton (because I am intense too), but don't let that intensity get to your head. It will make you lose that decency and respect you get from the sport. If you can't handle that, well then
Piss off.

Leave Hair On the Ground? Piss Off
I face this problem every single day in my life, but I at least make an attempt to fix it.
The problem is called "wet hair on the ground." And yes, it is indeed a problem.
Okay, so you may think I may be over dramatic and say there are bigger problems out there (like how North Korea just tested a rocket about 30 minutes ago and with unconfirmed indications that the rocket may have failed or malfunctioned... Let's hope so) but honestly, wet hair on the ground is disgusting.
My secondary source Yahoo answers told me that we lose an average of 100 hairs a day. Now let's take some time to recollect where all those hairs may have ended up.
I can only pray to God that they haven't fallen on to my wet bathroom floor.
But you know what, that is okay because I actually PICK UP MY HAIRS instead of leaving the next person to do it. And everyone else should do that too. I mean... it's kind of gross picking up other people's hairs on the floor. Ew.
I'm not the only one who thinks this, as there are about 150 people on facebook that agree with me and even dedicated groups to this cause.
The group names are slightly different;
- My roomates hair on the floor
- I don't like HAIR on the floor :|
The fact is, this is a simple problem to fix, and that's what annoys me. Just look at the ground and PICK IT UP AND THROW IT OUT. It's simple people. If you can't do that, don't even bother going to school and learn your algebra and your theories or try to get a boyfriend or girlfriend, or any friends in fact. Because I'm telling you, if you can't do this simple task, I honestly don't know what you can do.
Also, you know what else pisses me off? When people pick off a hair and throw it on the ground. NO NO NO, you didn't get rid of it, now its just on the ground! It's still there! We all know you saw it, and so just go dispose of it in the garbage or put it outside!
Honestly, it's not that difficult. If you see your hair on the ground, pick it up and throw it out. Just do it.
Otherwise, Piss off.
Leave No Tip? Piss Off
A tip means: "to insure prompt service" according to my secondary source on yahoo answers.
Although not entirely reliable, I would have replied to someone with the same statement if I were asked to define: tip.
On the best answer for the question: "Why do we need to leave tips at restaurants," the user replied "servers do not get paid well they depend on your tips." Although this is clearly a run-on sentence and is awkward to read, it answers the question. The user continues explain their way of tipping a server. They, quote, pay 10% for poor serve, 15% for good, 20% for great. Point is, they pay (and so should everyone else) at least TEN PERCENT (or more) tip.
Fact is most of a servers income is the tip.
That's what is so frustrating to me, I don't think people realize how difficult it is being a waiter or waitress. How much they earn to the amount of work, hours and strain they put into their job does not compare. I don't even know myself because I've never been a waitress! All I know is that I would not want to be serving that loud mouth freak show with no life sitting two tables away from me. But you know who does? Yeah, that server working their ass off trying to look super happy and not tired. So you can AT LEAST pay a $1.50 for that $11 meal you bought.
How do I know this if I was never a server? Well, Yahoo told me, "Yes it is [difficult being a server]. I used to be one so I would know. You're on your feet most of the time and you have to hear complaints from annoying customers." But also, my dad went through the hard work most undergraduate students never went through. (Although, I'm sure some have but majority didn't). He was serving at two restaurants paying through out his entire education while enrolled. And now comes some asshole who doesn't want to pay tip. (YOU MAY LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK). The fact is, my dad needed the tips. And so do people now.
He tells me, "Christina, if you can't pay tip, don't go out and eat. It's that simple."
So all those who can afford to eat a $50 steak at the Keg, or a $11 meal at a little Thai restaurant, know you should be leaving that place paying 10%+ of your meal.
Otherwise, Piss off.
